The Cairns Integrated Response to Domestic and Family Violence (CIRDFV) comprises government and non-government agencies in the Cairns area that are working together to develop an integrated service response which reduces the incidence and impact of Domestic and Family Violence in the Cairns community.

Our vision is to:

In order to reduce the incidence and impact of Domestic and Family Violence (D&FV) the following specific objectives have been identified:

• Increase co-ordination of service delivery across the target area to effectively address D&FV;
• Enhance relationships amongst services within the target area;
• Investigate complaints or case studies involving D&FV sector-wide service delivery and propose solutions at a systemic level;
• Contribute to developments in the wider field of D&FV;
• Continue to raise awareness of D&FV;
• Engage with stakeholders in furthering the other objectives.
