Keeping your website visits private

When you visit a website the images and other information from that site are stored on your computer for your convenience.  This can prove to be a problem if you would prefer others not knowing which sites you have been to.  The following guide will help you to remove information about the websites you have visited from your Internet Browser (Internet Explorer/Netscape).  It is important to note that an advanced user may still be able to track the websites you have visited even after you have followed these steps.  If you don't feel safe visiting this site from home you can also try browsing the Internet at your local library.

Internet Explorer:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Select the "Tools" button at the top of the screen then "Internet Options"
3. Select the "Delete Files" button in the "Temporary Internet Files" section
4. Make sure "Delete all offline content" is checked and click "OK"
5. Select the "Delete Cookies " button in the "Temporary Internet Files" section
    and click "OK"
6. Select the "Clear History" button in the "History" section and click "yes"
7. Click on "OK"
